Material
To make a Gin Margarita, you will need bar tools like a mixing glass or a shaker, jigger, strainer, bar spoon, knife and cutting board, citrus juicer, and ice cubes for measuring, mixing, and serving the ingredients. And optionally, salt for rimming the glass.
Method
- To add a salt rim to your glass, run a lime slice around the top, then dip the rim into a bowl of salt (mixed with chili powder if desired) until coated to your liking. Then, set it aside.
- Begin by filling a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, lime juice, and orange liqueur. Shake or stir until well mixed. Taste the mixture, and if you would like it to be sweeter, stir in a half teaspoon of agave or simple syrup at a time until it reaches your desired level of sweetness.
- Serve over ice in a glass with a salted rim. (If you like a spicy touch, blend some extra chili powder to your salt). We like a spicier kick, so we used a jalapeƱo in there too.
- Then voila! This refreshing Margatini will be yours to enjoy!
